What is the difference between governing law and jurisdiction?

A governing law clause states what country’s laws are to apply to the contract, whereas a jurisdiction clause is a dispute resolution provision which enables the parties to agree which country’s courts are to have jurisdiction to hear disputes arising out of the contract.
